Neal Jillings

Neal is a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute with almost 30 years involvement in planning.  His experience encompasses time working for North Somerset Council, the Planning Inspectorate and Savills.  More recently he has acted as an independent planning consultant working throughout the wider south west region as well as acting as a promoter, taking land through the planning system.  He has extensive experience of local plan promotion, submitting planning applications, acting in respect of planning appeals, including appearing as an expert witness at public inquiries, and most aspects of planning related to housing delivery.

Mark Woodland

Mark has a wealth of experience in the construction industry and has recently stepped up from a senior site manager position into a project managers role after starting with Summerfield in 2008. During his time on site Mark has proven his knowledge and keen eye for detail after receiving consistent NHBC Quality and Seal of Excellence awards over 5 years.

Ian Cassling

Ian joined Summerfield in 2001, after a brief spell working in Australia. He joined the residential developments team working on site. This gave him a good grounding for his current role as After Sales Supervisor, where he deals with ‘snagging’ and any problems that arise after our purchasers have moved into their new homes.

Marianne Goodison-Blanks

Marianne has built her career in sales & property management becoming a new homes sales advisor for a national company in 2010, before joining Summerfield Homes in 2016. Marianne is the Sales Advisor for Killams Park, Taunton and The Maples, Curry Rivel.

 

Jim Wheeler

Jim has worked in the construction industry for over 30 years, initially with Stansell Builders overseeing refurbishments, steel frame and new build projects.

Jim joined Summerfield Developments in 2001 as a Site Manager and has now taken on the role of After Sales Manager, dealing with after sales issues for our new homeowners.

Kerri Thorne

Kerri joined Summerfield in September 2007 and is the IT & Office Manager.

She oversees all aspects of IT for the business and provides technical support to all employees.

Kerri monitors and maintains the company’s computer systems, hardware, electronic data, and mobile phones. Troubleshoots errors and organises new equipment and updates. Establishes the company’s current and future IT needs and implements systems or hardware to meet these requirements.

She also manages our external IT Support and is the main liaison between them and senior management.

Simon King

Simon has spent his whole career in housebuilding, working for developers in Somerset and Bristol and covering all variations in the industry ranging from low-cost new build houses to multi-storey apartment blocks to luxury refurbishments.

At Summerfield Simon is responsible for materials procurement across all areas plus certain subcontractor procurement, and he works closely with Nick Birch on the development/evaluation & maintenance of the various specification groups.

Jamie Johnson

Jamie has a BA Hons degree in Architectural Technology and over 25 years’ experience in the construction industry, including in New Zealand and Australia.

Jamie joined Summerfield in 2018 and is involved throughout the process from conception to completion of all residential developments. He is responsible for Planning and Design within the housebuilding division as well as site acquisitions.

Sarah Thompson

Sarah has worked for Summerfield for over 24 years and is responsible for co-ordinating all after sales issues highlighted by our new homeowners.  She is also Secretary to the Residential Construction Director.

Matt Evered

Matt joined the Summerfield New Homes team in 2014; with a natural aptitude for cost management he focuses on quantity surveying, cost control and subcontract procurement.

Matt began his construction career in 2004 and has a wealth of experience ranging from new build development to large scale renovation and restoration projects.
