SUMMERFIELD COMMERCIAL has pre-sold eight out of 16 industrial units at Wellington’s Westpark 26 Business Park, even though construction of the new units has only just begun.
The units are part of a planned development of 16 high quality terrace units providing flexible, energy efficient spaces designed to appeal to a range of occupiers.
Construction on this new scheme, named Summerfield Court, will continue into 2026 and will be delivered by Devon Contractors. The development will incorporate a variety of sustainable features, including solar panels and optional EV charging points.
Flexible layouts ranging from 163 to 227 sq. m. will allow businesses to configure mezzanine floors and office space to suit their specific business needs. Each unit will also benefit from an eave height of 6.50 metres, with wide insulated electric loading doors, dedicated yards, and on-site parking.
Westpark 26 is already home to a thriving mix of distribution, warehousing, logistics, and manufacturing businesses, as well as a pub, hotel, restaurants, and several drive-thru outlets.
Ben Trickey, Commercial Director at Summerfield Commercial, said: “The fact we have sold half of the planned units before construction has even started is a very positive sign. Despite a challenging financial climate, there are businesses ready to expand and eager to take this opportunity to secure top quality, sustainable accommodation in a great location.”
