Summerfield Homes is pleased to announce its Site Manager at Taunton’s Killams Park, Mark Woodland, has received a prestigious 2017 NHBC Quality Award.
Established in 1936, NHBC (the National House-Building Council) aims to raise the construction standards of new homes.
Now in its 37th year, the NHBC Pride in the Job Awards operates a stringent assessment process carried out over 12 months. As well as undergoing spot checks on the day-to-day running of their site, each site manager is assessed across 37 areas of site management, including their technical knowledge, consistency in the build process and the quality controls they have in place.
Killams Park is located in South East Taunton and has been carefully designed to create attractive street scenes set amongst open parkland but within easy walking distance of the town’s amenities. Site Manager Mark Woodland does indeed take pride in his job and Summerfield is delighted his efforts have been recognised by this coveted award.
Pride in the Job gives great credit to exceptional site managers who produce the best quality new homes, built and finished to the highest possible standards. Homeowners who buy a Pride in the Job award-winning home benefit from a high quality product, and NHBC data shows Pride in the Job winning sites have higher levels of customer satisfaction, as these homes are without doubt among the best the UK has to offer.
The Pride in the Job Quality Awards are a significant proof of distinction for the best site managers in the UK. From around 16,000 site managers across the UK, Mark Woodland is one of only 450 selected for the valued accolade, and Summerfield is justifiably proud of his achievement. He will go on to the next stage of the Awards at a ceremony to take place in Exeter on 15 September.
As well as helping to raise industry standards, NHBC is the UK’s largest provider of new home warranties and, of course, all buyers of Summerfield new homes can rest easy with the added peace of mind that comes with its world-leading 10-year Buildmark warranty on each property.
