The Holms is in a stunning setting overlooking the sea and the Quantocks, and within easy reach of the traditional harbour town of Watchet. Re-development in recent years has transformed the harbour into an attractive modern marina.
The area around Watchet is one of outstanding and dramatic natural beauty
with the Bristol Channel, and the islands of Steep Holm and Flat Holm,
stretching out directly in front of the development. Behind it lie the
Quantock Hills; the country's first designated Area of Outstanding Natural
Beauty, and the Exmoor National Park is nearby.
The Holms is a select development made up of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom houses
set around a series of cul-de-sacs to provide a quiet and safe environment.
We have designed the houses to provide energy efficient and easy to maintain
homes that meet the expectations of 21st century living and come with
a 10 year NHBC warranty as standard.
Situation
Watchet is historic and an attractive seaside town, which in recent
years has seen the redevelopment of the Harbour to provide a superb
Marina.
The town has a good range of local shops and the larger settlements
of Williton and Minehead are within a short drive offering a wider
selection of retail outlets and facilities. Good road links provide
easy access to the County Town of Taunton (approx 20 miles) via the
A358 and Bridgwater (approx 18 miles) via the A39. The M5 can be joined
at both towns for fast links to the rest of the country.
There are a number of local services including a doctors surgery
and library and for the more sporting minded tennis courts, football,
cricket and bowling club. In addition over the years, the colourful
annual carnival weekend has grown into one of the areas major events
and is very popular with locals and visitors alike.
Taunton's mainline train has fast trains to London in just under
2 hours and both Bristol and Exeter have expanding regional airports.
