Taunton’s regional business park at Blackbrook is nearly complete with solicitors Ashfords moving on to the 31 acre site next week.
Summerfield has brought companies such as Western Provident Association, BSI and several banks to the highly visible Blackbrook Business Park, as well as authorities like the Regional Fire Control Centre and NHS, with the consequent jobs for local people.
“We have two three storey buildings left to develop at Blackbrook, and have effectively agreed terms for one, and are talking seriously to three other companies who may take the majority of the 35,000 sq ft left on this site.
Summerfield has also developed business parks at Exeter, Chippenham, Weston-super-Mare and has invested millions in infrastructure work for the 40 acre Westpark industrial park near the M5 at Wellington.
Ashfords are leaving their town centre offices in St James Street on March 16 for purpose built three-storey modern offices at Blackbrook with plenty of parking space. Managing partner Tony Mason is seen here at last week’s handover with Summerfield’s Nigel Hounslow and divisional director David Partridge and director Ian Pitman and operations manager Brian Lucas from builders Midas.
