Barrows Mount, the new Summerfield development at Cheddar, is bucking national trends by being a real property success story.
The show home will open on March 8, but already over half of the 24 homes have been sold and two of the larger properties were sold in January, normally a slow month for selling homes.
Richard Nicol, the residential director of Somerset company Summerfield, said: "Barrows Mount is going really well, it is bucking national trends and we are delighted. It is pretty good considering the negative state of the markete we are in".
Prices at Barrows Mount start at £330,000, and the whole development will be finished in the next few months.
The site includes a mix of four and five bedroom detached houses with three bedroom chalet bungalows, and three bedroom terraced homes, plus one and two bedroom apartments and a coach house to produce a real community feel. The three bedroom terraced houses and apartments are already sold.
Situated on the edge of the thriving village of Cheddar, Barrows Mount is surrounded by open countryside with the Mendip Hills and Cheddar Gorge close by and the cities of Bristol, Bath and Wells in easy reach.
The show home is already open from 11.am to 5.pm on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Mondays. Phone Summerfield on 01823 257961 for further information or contact the Selling Agents John Denbee on 01934 744855.
