Pupils from Fairlands School in Cheddar visited Summerfield Homes' new housing site at The Barrows in Cheddar as part of their studies in resistant materials.
The pupils were also informed about the latest energy efficient methods and materials being incorporated to maximise energy efficiency.
The tour of the development of 23 homes for humas also included a closer inspection of a new home for a family of badgers! The badger sets had been moved and then re-created closeby.
Richard Nicol, Divisional Director said "The pupils asked a lot of testing questions about how the homes are built and we hope to arrange follow up visits later in the year as the site progresses".
