Proposed “My Home” development at Home Orchard, Hatch Beauchamp - by Summerfield Developments (SW) Ltd
The plans show preliminary details of a proposed scheme for owner occupied, financially accessible homes to be located on a site to the west of Home Orchard, adjoining the village of Hatch Beauchamp.
They provide an illustrative layout to indicate how the site could be developed as well as showing the type of homes that could be provided.
It is envisaged that the scheme will provide 22 homes with a mix of 2 and 3 bed houses, all to be provided for sale at a discounted price under Summerfield Developments’ My Home affordable home scheme.
OUTLINE PLANNING APPLICATION
The outline planning application plans will show the location and size of the proposed affordable housing site and the proposed means of access to the development.
All other matters relating to the detailed site layout and the design and external appearance of the dwellings will be reserved for consideration by the Local Authority as part of a future planning application.
ILLUSTRATIVE DESIGN
The illustrative site layout has been prepared to show how we would envisage the site being developed and the illustrative dwelling plans and elevations show the type of affordable houses that could be provided, if outline planning approval is granted.
The proposals show how a new access road could be provided from Home Orchard to serve a development of 22 dwellings with a mix of 2 and 3 bedroom properties.
We would envisage the provision of new structure planting to form substantial hedges and tree groups along site boundaries as well as a landscaped buffer zone between the new and existing development.
The site layout can incorporate the existing footpath which provides a link to the primary school and recreation ground.
The dwellings can be designed in a simple terraced form with rendered elevations and double roman tiled or slate roofs to reflect a traditional village character for the development.
