"My Home" by Summerfield Developments aims to provide affordable homes for local people, in conjunction with the Local Authority

The concept is to provide affordable homes for local people for owner occupation who would struggle to afford a home without a little help. The homes are to be sold at a discount to open market value; this is all that will have to be paid; there will not be any shared equity - so no rent will be payable.

In order for future generations to benefit similarly, the same discount will apply to all future re-sales. This means that householders wishing to sell will benefit from any increase in house values that may occur, but future buyers continue to benefit from a price that is held at a similar percentage of the then current market value.

Each scheme has an agreement with the Local Authority to ensure that a discounted price is available to future purchasers.
