Uses
Westpark benefits from planning approval for a mixed use business park. Uses include general and light industrial together with distribution buildings with a pub (The Skylark), hotel, trade counters, car showrooms, veterinary clinic, starter units, workshops and offices.
The majority of the buildings are planned to be industrial warehouses or distribution units, similar to Chelston Phase 1 & 2 - also developed by Summerfield Developments. Other use classes can be considered on the site and will need to be the subject of a separate planning application.
Timescales / Construction
The Skylark Pub opened in early June 2010 and is trading well. The hotel plot adjacent to it will make up a later phase and has planning consent for 60 bedrooms.
Block 4 completed in February 2010 with Block 3 due to be ready for occupiers in early 2011.
Wellington Motors have acquired two frontage plots for car showrooms and forecourts. Summerfield will develop these out on behalf of Wellington Motors in due course.
The Office Village has planning permission for 13 offices in sizes ranging from 2,000 sq ft to 6,000 sq ft in a combination of semi-detached or detached, self contained plots.
